The Food and Nutrition Bulletin (FNB) is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2019 with new content that recognizes the journal’s impact in its first four decades, while looking forward to the next 40 years of food and nutrition research. Each issue in our anniversary year features editorial content and commentaries by distinguished scholars on the future of science and policy research in a range of geographic and topical areas. We have digitized the first 20 years of the FNB, and now for the first time in our history the early issues of the journal are available online for all readers, globally. From our past issues we have selected interesting, high-impact classic content and are linking this to an annotated bibliography that accompanies each issue. And we have recognized this major milestone with an updated cover and banner design for our website and printed issues.Since the first volume of FNB was published in 1978, we have been striving continually to meet the needs and interests of our readers – a growing global community of nutrition scientists, health professionals and policy leaders. As a leading peer-reviewed journal in the field of international nutrition, we promote and publish original science and policy research and analysis examining multidisciplinary efforts to alleviate global hunger and malnutrition. Our goal is, and has always been, to disseminate the most cutting-edge work that is being done in nutrition research and food policy to alleviate malnutrition and hunger in the developing world. Building the capacity of the next generation is also a critical part of our mission, and we welcome articles by emerging and developing-world researchers.You may submit new manuscripts to the FNB at: https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/fnb.
